Anyone who has read the previous two novels knows that the main battle for Steelhaven hasn't even started at the end of book two and that a large amount of main characters would play a prevalent part in the battle. So Richard ... Lord of Ashes - the final book in the trilogy - is around 320 pages long and for me, this is the main reason such a promising trilogy left me disappointed at the end. Anyone who has read the previous two novels knows that the main battle for Steelhaven hasn't even started at the end of book two and that a large amount of main characters would play a prevalent part in the battle.
