A few years ago, I attended a friend's ordination as a Deacon in the Uniting Church, and as I've been thinking about it, I realise it's the only ordination I've been to, so I don't know what they're normally like, but this one was huge. More than a hundred and fifty people there.

Knowledge is a gift we seldom attribute to the Spirit. But the ability to think and to know is, after all, one of God's greatest gifts to humans.
